Jehovah’s Witnesses: What part of Acts 15:29 tells us to abstain from transfusion of leukocytes?
Leukocytes are commonly known as white cells. We find leukocytes in blood and just about every other bodily tissue. Leukocytes move in and out of tissue depending on the need.Of interest for Jehovah’s Witnesses is that leukocytes are found in breast milk. Unlike other ingredients of milk, leukocytes are not processed through endothelial cells as precursors to milk. Leukocytes have direct entry from a mother’s cardiovascular system to her milk by paracellular pathways between epithelial cells that milk precursors are unable to navigate. Unlike other free flowing cells in our bloodstream, leukocytes have an ability to transmigrate (known as diapedesis) through tissue and remain intact and fully functional. This is how leukocytes enter milk. When a mother nurses her infant child these leukocytes are eaten by the child as healthy nutrition. When a mother ceases nursing of her infant the leukocytes present in her milk return to the blood stream as part of the involution process.
Hence leukocytes have a natural, healthy and direct transference from a mother to her child via the mammary organ. As various constituents from blood are transported via the placenta organ from a mother into her fetus, leukocytes are also transported via the mammary organ from a mother to her newborn child.
Adam’s Rib writes:
-- “If you were allergic to alcohol, would that mean you could transfuse it into your body without any bad effects?”
My Response:
-- If allergic reaction were the underlying premise for what is acceptable as a conscience matter and what is not acceptable as a conscience matter what you present would be relevant to my question asked. But our position on transfusion of leukocytes is not premised on allergic reaction. Hence I fail to see your point. What part of Acts 15:29 speaks to leukocytes that does not speak equally to blood products such as cryoprecipitate?
Adam’s Rib writes:
-- “Why don't you check into bloodless surgery or the side effects of taking blood transfusions before you try to tell us what to do or think?”
My Response:
-- “Bloodless surgery” is a marketing phrase. It is not a term that means blood is not used. Use of this the term placates the consciences of person who use blood products such as cryoprecipitate because it makes them feel as though they have abstained from blood when in fact they have used from blood. Using from blood is not abstaining from blood.
Adam’s Rib writes:
-- “You are obviously not very knowledgeable about blood transfusions. Check out the dangers. How can blood save a person's life? Where does the blood come from that they put into your body? What diseases are not detected by preliminary tests on blood? How does the doctor know when you have had enough blood? If you have too much, it can result in a stroke or heart attack. We live in the 21st century. Old medical practices such as blood transfusions are becoming obsolete.”
My Response:
-- I appreciate your response, but respectfully I am compelled to say that the gross ignorance your demonstrated in comments such as you make above are part of why I engage the subject. Readers need and deserve to know reality. Though hematological medicine has made tremendous strides, it remains the case that without blood products many, many patients would suffer otherwise preventable morbidity or mortality.
Adam’s Rib writes:
-- “Until you take your blinders off, you will never understand God. Look at both sides of the situation. Not just your side. The medical side effects of blood are not why we do not take blood. We do not take blood because it is a moral issue to us and to Jehovah. But by abstaining from blood, we reap the benefits of a healthier recovery.”
My Response:
-- Why don’t you help take my blinder off by telling me what part of Acts 15:29 tells us to abstain from transfusion of leukocytes? That is, after all, the question I asked. If you have an answer to my question why not share it for all readers?
Escape writes:
-- “Did you know that when a baby lives inside its mother, the mother shares her blood with the baby? Jehovah has created us this way- a mother and child shares blood while the child is in the womb because it's normally safe to do (except in the rare case that the child and mother have two different blood types).”
My Response:
-- A mother’s blood does not comingle with the blood of the growing fetus. If that were to occur it would present a life threatening condition for a variety of reasons.
Escape writes:
-- “…Jehovah has created us this way….”
My Response:
-- As Jehovah created human anatomy to transfer nutrients from a mother’s blood to her unborn child via the placenta organ, Jehovah also created human anatomy to transfer leukocytes from a mothers’ blood to her newborn child via the mammary organ. Are you unaware of this? If not, then why to you fail to answer the question asked?
Escape writes:
-- “Jehovah has commanded us to abstain from blood because it isn't healthy and because blood represents our individual soul.”
My Response:
-- First, blood is no unhealthier than any other biological tissue we expose ourselves too. If you eat meat you eat plenty of blood. Both are nutritious if properly prepared. Much the same is true of intravenous administration of blood products. As eating blood carries risk so does introduction of blood to our body by any other means. Whether the risk is worth the benefit is the health question.
-- If blood represents our soul then why do we treat blood differently by attributing “bloodness” to components of blood when we do not attribute “soulness” to components of soul? We do not treat a body as though a soul when it is separated from “breath of life”. So why do we treat leukocytes as though “blood” when it is separated from other components of blood?
Defeater of Rust writes:
-- “You know full well such a thing isn't mentioned in the Bible. So why ask the question, and why keep up this ridiculous dog-and-pony show of yours with your constant rain of nearly-exact questions over and over and over again? Do you honestly think you're accomplishing something here?”
My Response:
-- I asked the question to learn what other may know that I do not. I appreciate you sharing an opinion of my questions, but from my perspective the questions I have asked are not near-replicas. Each question has its own merit. There is always accomplishment in the process of asking questions and giving answers.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “I believe it has to do with the fact the leukocytes (white blood cells) are one of the primary components of whole blood. As we should know that they are the body's mobile warriors in the battle against infection and invasion.”
My Response:
-- Thanks for those comments going directly to my question.
-- I have considered what you write, but as a premise to consider leukocytes as though blood it runs contrary to the biblical teaching that by itself no major component of a soul is a soul. A major component of a soul is the physical body. But a physical body that is separated from “breath of life” is not soul; it is only a formed body of dust. Also we have the biblical principle that no one member of a composition is by itself that composition. (See 1 Cor. 12:14; a body is a composition of many members and not just one by itself.)
-- As a leukocyte has biological duties so does the physical human body, and the physical human body is not itself a soul.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “‘Viruses such as HIV are found both in the leukocytes and in the plasma. There is no evidence that leukocyte reduction will prevent the transmission of HIV.’”
My Response:
-- So readers do not get the wrong impression, and though I agree with the statement above as far as it goes, blood products currently acceptable under Watchtower’s blood doctrine carry risks just as do blood products currently unacceptable under Watchtower’s blood doctrine. For example, transfusion of cryosupernatant carries the same risk to a patient as does transfusion of Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP). Under Watchtower’s blood doctrine Jehovah’s Witnesses can accept transfusion of cryosupernatant but not FFP.
Defeater of Rust writes to me:
-- “None of your questions, or your responses have any merit to anyone but you. Your deceitful agenda is openly exposed to all.”
My Response:
-- You presume a great deal, not the least of which is suggest you know what everyone thinks.
-- What, precisely, is this deceitful agenda I have? You act as though me asking questions is a cardinal sin. I ask question, sure. I also reply to responses, and try to do so respectfully without needless and adversarial assumption. So what is it about me doing these things that bother you so much?
Richard writes:
-- “Just where is it stated in a Watchtower publication to abstain from Leukocytes?
-- Look at page 5 of the source you quoted from (Our Kingdom Ministry dated November 2006). On the left-hand side you will see a column titled “Unacceptable to Christians”. In that column appears “White cells”. That is a common term used for leukocytes.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “A body w/o the breath of life is, in fact, still a soul, albeit a dead one. There is scriptural evidence to this effect.”
My Response:
-- Then do you disagree with Watchtower’s teaching that once a body and “breath of life” are separated that the soul ceases to exist?
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “Forgive me but I couldn't help but to notice your interactions with Defeater of Rust. I know he can blow up at times, and I'm not condoning his reactions toward you, although I understand his position. I have done some more digging and have found some very concerning tendencies from your part. I have read many of your posts from your blog.”
My Response:
-- What I share on my blog is there for all to read and it is shared as information. It is neither my intent nor desire to pressure folks away from the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Whatever view individuals hold of the Watchtower organization should be determined by those individuals and it should be based on factual information of Watchtower’s own acts. I have shared information of some Watchtower behavior that until it was released by me was unknown to the greater community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Folks who look to Watchtower deserve to have factual information about Watchtower.
That is what my blog attempts to provide. If you find any material errors in my blog, or fallacious forms of reasoning, it would be accepted as a favor for you to point it out for review.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “It may be you are part of the “Witnesses of Jah” that do not want to affiliated with the WTBTS or the directives of the FDS.”
My Response:
-- I know of the loosely knit group that in the last few years has taken the name Witnesses of Jah. I have had no affiliation with it or anyone associated with it to my knowledge.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “I will only ask you this once and for all, are you or are you not a baptized member JW?”
My Response:
-- I was baptized back in the early 1940s in a muddy creek by my father who was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses then and until the day he died, which was not long thereafter. I have been actively in association with the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses the whole time. I do not share much online about my person, and do not intend to start now. Who and where I am is of no concern to anyone other than my close family and trustworthy friends and my Maker. The factualness of what we teach and the soundness of our argumentation and conclusions thereof are everything. This is where we escape even our own biases and open ourselves to truth that sets us free. It starts with following the Master, Jesus. How sound our thinking becomes is up to us.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “You may be referring to this statement: “Separate the life-force from the body, and there is no living soul. The soul becomes nonexistent.”—(Victory Over Death, 1986 p. 20) They are referring to the fact that the LIVING person as a LIVING soul is nonexistent.”
My Response:
-- No. I am referring to the statements by Watchtower saying,
-- “The human soul ceases to exist at death.”—(Jehovah’s Witnesses—Who Are They? What Do They Believe?, 2000 p. 13)
-- “At death, the soul ceases to exist.”—(The Watchtower, Aug. 15, 1999 p. 12)
-- “The soul ceases to exist at death.”—(The Watchtower, Sept. 15, 1996 p. 5)
-- “They realize that the soul ceases to exist at death…”—(The Watchtower, May 1, 1991 p. 18)
-- “When the body dies, the soul is dead, it ceases to exist.”—(Victory Over Death—Is It Possible for You?, 1986 p. 13)
-- “Soul ceases to exist at death.”—(The Watchtower, July 15, 1985 p. 6)
-- “At death the soul, the individual, ceases to exist.”—(The Watchtower, June 1, 1959 p. 346)
-- “It takes body and breath of life to produce soul; separate them and the soul ceases to exist.”—(The Watchtower, June 15, 1957 p. 359)
Victory de Sharp:
-- Do you disagree with Watchtower’s teaching that soul ceases to exist when the physical body is no longer combined with breath of life?
-- I think that is a fair question given what you have shared.
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “I disagree if you mean by this that we "deserve" to know everything they do or as to any decision they make. It will never be my intention nor desire to raise doubts as to the reasons why the WTBTS or the FDS reaches a decision. This would be similar to placing "brother against brother". It is not my place to raise doubts.”
My Response:
-- Each reaps what he sows. The biblical standard is candor, particularly regarding those whom either are or profess themselves a representative of Jehovah. The Bible shares the good and the bad, in each case. I prefer the biblical model because it is the standard shared by God. Factual information is not shared with an intent or desire to raise doubts, and certainly not to pit brother against brother. Factual information is shared for whatever value it has. If factual information creates doubt it is the responsibility of whoever created the fact.
-- Jesus did not hold back from sharing information that was true, even when he knew it would stumble. Jesus shared what was factual for sake of truth-lovers. Jesus did not refrain from sharing factual information for sake of truth-lovers because sharing it would stumble those who only wanted to hear pretty things that agreed with what they wanted to hear.—(See John 6:60-66; “Does this stumble you?”) Division caused by sharing factual information is righteous division. Those who love whatever is true will always, always flock to factual information because it is a rich source of true/valid conclusions. Our Father is looking for such truth-lovers.—(John 4:23-24)
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “Is it your thinking then, that the current GB of FDS (WTBS) is not of God? If so, why? (YES or NO please) And, do you have a better FDS conduit?”
My Response:
-- All teachings of Watchtower that can be proven true with reasoning that conforms to conventions of logical construction and that have verifiable biblical premises I accept as the word of God.
-- Teachings of Watchtower that cannot be proven true with reasoning that conforms to conventions of logical construction and that have verifiable biblical premises I accept as the word of men.
-- Jesus is our conduit. We can feel safe in that knowledge. Don’t you pray in Jesus’ name?
-- Inspired biblical text says “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.—(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
-- Unlike the Ethiopian whom Philip enlightened with the good news of Jesus, today we have a collection of inspired writings written for the advancement of the Christian congregation. What does the text of 2 Timothy 3:16-17 literally say? Do you believe it?
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “I believe in what the Bible says about the soul. The 'non existence of the soul' relates to that of the living soul. The references you gave does not contradict this either.”
My Response:
-- If you believe what the Bible says of soul then you believe that there is no soul if there is no body together with “breath of life”.
-- “And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.”—(Genesis 2:7) Until God put the body together with “breath of life” there was no soul.
-- When Watchtower speaks of a “dead soul” it is a euphemism for a soul that no longer exists. “It is therefore no longer a living soul. The soul has died, ceased to exist.”—(The Watchtower, Dec. 1, 1973 p. 726)
Victory de Sharp writes:
-- “As to the immediately above question and your answer, I'll take it as a no.”
My Response:
-- I am unable to treat the governing body of Watchtower as though its decisions are inerrant by treating each of their decisions as God word simply because they issue a decision.
-- I appreciate your responses, and for whatever it is worth to you, I do not necessarily disagree with your closing remark. Apparently you accept what Watchtower says on trust whereas I accept what Watchtower says after testing it and finding it sound. But my conscience does not allow me to accept anything as the word of God unless it has verifiable biblical premises leading to a conclusion that is the result of an argument that conforms to conventions of logical construction and refutation.

I have been invited out by these friends for nights out and I have not always been able to go due to my own circumstances, which I expalained to them, and never stood them up,and gave them plenty of notice. One friend even accused me of not caring about them and of only using them for the time we were in school and now she thinks I've gone "running back" to my other friends. This is simply not true and all the time we were in school I asked nothing from them. She has been playing mind games with me ever since and being completely downright nasty and calling me abusive names on facebook chat and acusing me of not wanting to see them, and not wanting to believe my reasons, the next she turns on the charm and asks me to go out with them again as if she had n't been so abusive.I don't know what to do.My other friends understand my reasons and understand that I might n't be able to come out. But sometimes I feel that if I was able and did come out,all of it was just a nasty set-up to humilliate me,and they never had any intention of coming to meet me,and laugh at me behind my back afterwards. They have lied to me before and they could easily do it again and I don't want to take that risk. When I was around them it was as though they did n't want me there anyway and its not just my own poor self esteem. Please help!Pytanie #8:

"Pain & Suffering" Insurance Compensation For Auto Accident?
Hi Folks,My husband was injured July 30 an a T-bone car accident in northern California. Other driver ran a red traffic signal. Due to an independent witness, the CHP investigation confirmed that my husband was not at fault. The other driver was not injured.
Husband was removed from the vehicle and transported unconscious by Medics to the ED, and Doctors determined that he had a concussion and a broken clavicle. He woke up about 90 minutes after the accident, did not have any brain damage, and was discharged later that evening.
He spent two weeks recovering at home (bruised and in pain). Then he went back to work on light duty for a few weeks, and is now on unrestricted duty. Except for some minor shoulder pain that is getting better every day, he seems fine now.
Other driver's insurance carrier called and admitted that their client was at fault. They will reimburse our insurance carrier for the amount paid for totaling our vehicle, our $500 insurance deductible, the full cash value for the 2 weeks of sick leave used, and minor incidentials (such the cost of replacing his clothes that were cut off at the ED, a new pair of eyeglasses, and mileage to and from the Hospital for follow-up visits).
Can my husband get anything for "pain & suffering" from the insurance carrier? Should he even bother asking? If so, what would a "reasonable" amount be considered?
We aren't interested in getting a lawyer nor filing a lawsuit. We're actually glad that the accident wasn't worse, and would be fine with getting paid for our deductible, his glasses, his clothes, and the sick leave used... but still, it never hurts to ask.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Question for those who have experience fostering dogs...?
hello, I'm trying to do some research before I fully commit to fostering.I plan on fostering within the next few years. I have two older dogs, and I will wait until they pass on before I bring foster dogs into my home.
How did you choose a specific organization to foster for?
---there are three i am considering fostering for, but i can't decide on which one to choose. a no kill shelter (mostly fostering pups/bottle feeding--i have experience), another no kill sanctuary in the country (fostering mostly adult dogs/special needs dogs until space opens up at the sanctuary), or for a rescue group that saves dogs from a rural shelter with almost NO adoptions from the public.
What do you need to teach a dog (i'm familiar with basic obedience, socialization and crate/potty training...anything else?)
If your organization holds adoption events, do you have to transport dogs to the events?
Did you have to have a home visit before you were allowed to get your first foster? I have a bull terrier, very social and well behaved, but will that be an issue since he is a bully breed?
On average, how long do you end up fostering a dog for?
Last question, i can afford food for the foster, but will the organization I get the dog help out with any costs (ie vetting)? Or provide a crate?
Thanks for all the tips and suggestions in advance!

Hammurabi code and reasoning behind it?
I have 4 laws from the hammurabi and I don't know why they need laws like those. They are below:If a chieftain or a man (common soldier), who has been ordered to go upon the king's highway for
war does not go, but hires a mercenary, if he witholds the compensation, then shall his officer or man be put to death, and he who he represented him shall take possessions of his house.
Why did they need a law such as this?
2. If any one owe a debt for a loan, and a storm prostrates the grain, or the harvest fail, or the grain does not grow for lack of water; in that year he need not give his creditor any grain, he washes his debt-tablet in water and pays no rent for this year.
What does this say about their society and the reasoning behind the law?
3.If a merchant give an agent corn, wool, oil, or any other goods to transport, the agent shall give a receipt for the amouont, and compensate the merchant therefor. Then he shall obtain a receipt form the merchant for the money that he gives the marchant.
Why was this important? How did it affect the society as a whole for this law to be passed?
4.If nyone steal cattle or sheep, or an ass, or a pig or a goat, if it belonged to a god or the court, the thief shall pay thirtyfold therefor; if they belonged to a freed man of the king he shall pay tenfold; if the theif has nothing with which to pay he shall be put to death.
What does this law say about the society and how does it serve the society?

White hanging eggs (??) along two walls of my fish tank. Hundreds of them! What could they be?
I looked at my fishies today and noticed hundreds of little white "baggies" hanging from the sides of my tank at all water levels just "blowing in the breeze"; what in the world are they?! They are shaped just like this pirate hook ( Click Here ) in which the curved part of the actual hook is chopped off.Sticking with the picture, imagine: the nub part is frayed at the bottom and loose in the water; the stick/hook portion is stuck onto the sides of my tank. Each is about the size of the end of a pencil lead, and there are hundreds of them: OMG!
The tank was just moved from home to my dorm on Aug 30th, so it is possible that something different is in the water here. I did travel with about 8gal of water or so from home, all the bacteria and wheel were preserved in water through trip, fish were transfered to hot-water-cleaned rubbermade container for transport and reintroduced to tank after it was back up and water running for about 5ish hours by being floated in baggies for about 20min.
I did have an ick-scare (treated 29days with Coppersafe and sponge filter by marineland). Ick scare means I treat preventatively now for three days with Jungle's Ick Guard II 1xmonth (without carbon filter of course) bc I believe the parasites are in my water.
No signs of fish distress, etc; everyone is perfectly normal. One fished died in hospital tank due to long-lasting, unknown, internal infection/parasite/bacteria(??)... there was nothing more I could do.

-I think that we might have neamatoads (or whatever those little white worms are that come out at night) bc my mom's tank (same set up and water supply) have them.
-Fish are fed any variety of Tetra's Bettamin, Tetra Min Tropical Chrips/Granuals/FD Shrimp and Tetra FD Bloodworms & Tetra Algea Waffers.
-No live plants, etc. but tons and tons of fake plants and decorations including a new plant that cover 1/3 the tank's surface.
-Tank floor is a mixture of sand, "pond rock"/larger stones, and gravel all from LFS and very very old sea shells that have been in our tanks for years.
-API Aquarium Salt is replaced 1xmonth in a small pet-co cup
Any comments or advice will be appreciated. ...I'm trying not to worry. Thank you :)
Sarahbeth
To make it clear: there are no parasites/etc on the fish... just whatever this is stuck to the walls of the tank.
Also, I don't know the water's quality but it was just changed this past weekend.
Thank you for your reply, Tracy. Could you please clarify this:
"More significantly, trying to kill a bunch of animals in your aquarium means you're going to end up with lots of decay, and that means poor water quality. Imagine if you killed off a nest of rats with rat poison, but just left the bodies to rot. Bad. The correct approach here is to ignore the worms, and instead control their numbers so the population dies back over time."
Are you saying these things are worms? worm eggs? are you also saying don't kill them --or that I killed something, like the ick??-- and that instead just remove them with the PT method? also, so they're harmless and sorta beneficial... should I just leave them? I don't mind as long as the fish are gonna be okay.
Sorry for the confusion! Thanks!!
Sorry: nevermind Tracy. I understand what you are saying now. Thank you! Your comment makes sense :)

Alcohol sales are prohibited on Christmas Day in the state of Colorado. The sale of alcohol for on-premise consumption is banned from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Last call is at 2:30am at the mile high city. Sunday liquor sales were prohibited until 2008. Alcohol was often times transported into the state on Sundays from Nebraska, which is legal. Car sales are prohibited on Sundays.
Connecticut
Since the founding of the puritanical theological colony of New Haven in 1638, Connecticut had some of the strictest blue laws in the country. Until the 1970s, no stores were allowed to open on Sundays, save Jewish-owned businesses, which had to be closed on Saturdays. To this day, liquor sales and hunting on Sundays are illegal. Originally stores were not allowed to sell liquor after 8 p.m. but recently stores have the option of staying open until 9 p.m. Bars and restaurants are forbidden to sell liquor after 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday nights bars and restaurants can remain open until 2 a.m..."

I'm moving to Hawai'i for college, what do I need to have planned out for living there?
Okay, so it's decided. I'm moving to Hawai'i this coming summer (2011) for college. I'm actually going there for vacation right after I graduate with a couple of friends, then I'm going to look for an apartment and live there 'til I get my residency while getting a job and going to a community college (I don't want to be a whole year just working). Reason why I'm deciding to go to a community college before I attend the university is because I'd have to pay the non-residential fee which I hear can get pretty high and I don't have that kind of money.I don't know where or how to begin! Do I start looking for apartments now? Should I look into room mates in Hawai'i or here (Texas) to share my apartment so it'll be less expensive on me? (I hear it's REALLY expensive to live over there) What community colleges are over there? I'm already saving up money right now to move there (Honolulu). I have a car here now, should I spend money on transporting it over there, or just wait and buy a used one while I'm living there?
I just need some advice on what I need to have planned out RIGHT now and what I should expect. (Sorry it's a little long, but this has been my dream since I first heard of this college HPU and I will do anything to make it happen!)
Thank you(:
I'm an 18 year old girl who's a senior in college btw. Lol.
I really just want to know about all the expenses I need to have in mind, I don't want to be too overwhelmed when I move over there..
To be honest with you, I've ALWAYS wanted to get out of Texas. I didn't know where yet, but I knew I wanted to get out of here. I met a hawaiian family and we became really close. Ever since then I've been soo admired by the Hawaiian culture. At first I didn't want to live on an island, but after I looked into it, it looks beautiful and I know it's going to be stressful and it's not going to be exactly how I picture it, but college is stressful period. I wanted to go to study environmental science/nursing. So, the question on my mind right now is, since I want to go to HPU, do I need to have my residency? And if I do, will I have to wait one year? If I need to wait one year, (I know I'll need a job) but do I take classes of somesort? I'm deciding to take some college classes my second semester of HS to maybe help improve my chances to getting into HPU. I've already looked into other colleges in other states, but the "tropical" area seems attracts me more than "the city life".

If there were a car that you'd like to see blasted off the market, what would it be?
For me, it would have to be the Toyota Prius. Apart from the fact that it's miserable to drive (soggy brakes, inert steering, a weird sense of understeer) it is nowhere near as green as its buyers like to think. All the mining and processing involved in its production gives it the same carbon footprint as a Land Rover LR2 V8 after having accomplished 150,000 miles. Neodymium, used in its motor/generator, nickel, batteries and Lithium, batteries and varied electronics components are very messy to gain. To mine them involves either breaking down a mountain over time or drilling a giant hole in the ground. To process them involves transporting them over tens of thousands of miles. After which, they invariably land in China for final processing thanks to the fact that the final step prior to installation is so toxic that the People's Republic is the only place on Earth that allows it. If you want to be green, just buy a smaller, more efficient car that doesn't scream how much more environmentally aware you are than everyone else.@ JerryJ
1,) My company leased five for fleet work and we are very glad to have gotten rid of them as our reps hated them as they drove terribly.
2,) The research that you are referencing is a faulty study conducted by the Center for American Progress. I am speaking about one done by the University of Oxford Brookes, Cambridge. It used current data. Furthermore, while the Sudbury mine is cleaner than it once was it is still a matter of comparing rabies to scurvey, it is still a messy process. Also, that mine is no longer the world's largest source of Nickel, Russia is. Their standards are significantly lower Canada's.Toyota has been purchasing much (40+%) of their nickel from them. Lithium, is also a toxic process as it is found at a lower depth and is harder to refine, despite being more recyclable.
3,) Parts coming from China isn't the issue. Their toxic, exotic manufacture is.

Can I sue Hollyoaks for personal injury?
Recently I placed a portfolio of myself with an agency who can get you works as extras in films and dramas on TV.I was so excited to be invited to attend a casting interview as an extra on the show.
£100 a day and all the catering you can eat from 6 am until 10 pm with transport to and fro from the set.
Imagine my fury and indignation when some GOK casting director told me that I wasn't what they were looking for in Hollyoaks.
I asked WHY?
This string of DNA told me that I did not enhance the aesthetics's of the cast in that my appearance would be suited more to Rab C Nesbit.
I now realise that in his university degree in film and media studies way he was calling me ugly.
I now am very low and was thrown out B&Q yesterday for spray painting all the mirrors over in the Bathroom and Shower sections of the store.
I just can't bear to see myself in the mirror and I'm feeling 2 emotions.
Should I end it all now?
Or should I dig out that Kalashnikov that I smuggled back from a war zone when I served my country...clean it and oil it...then load a magazine in it and head off to Hollyoaks to become the front page in a magazine.
Or should I go and see a lawyer as I secretly tapped my humiliation and take this mob to the cleaners with their parasitic attempts to get prepubescent boys to watch their sexual exploitation of young actresses frothing for fame and a footballer which impacted on my life making me feel hurt and humiliated and devastated?

Surly heavy people go to the health spa to sweat off the calories.
He also said that I looked like a nonce and train-spotter in an anorak.
A nonce is someone with a dodgy criminal history.
He also said he could see hairs growing out my nostrils and ears and that my teeth needed whitening and that I smelt of BO.
I am so so upset.
I now know what it feels like to want to destroy somebody.
I found out where this GOK lives and where he drinks.I think the best thing for me to do is to go and confront him.
Perhaps I could work it out with him and even get a bit part as a street sweeper rather than beat the little fukcer to death.
Kirsty Adams:I am not asking a question I'm relating to you an experience that has left me with no hope or confidence in myself.

My past:(I'm 16 currently)
My dad left my mom and I at birth. When I was 8 I had what felt like a near death coking experience and when I tried to get help from my mother all she did was laugh. Ever since I eat way lower and I can't take pills. When I was around 10 I spent the night at one of my moms friends house and he was about 38. He sexually abused me and my mom moved us to another town. Also we moved around every summer because we didn't have the money. In high school started being the weird kid that stayed alone a lot. Between 9th and 10th grade movers came into our place and started moving things out of the house into a horse transport tailor on the back of a truck while i was sleeping. They woke me up when they had started to take things out of my room. We went to a homeless shelter and our cat couldn't stay in the building with us so it had to stay in the car and it died. I failed 10th grade while moving into another school. After a few months of feeling bad that I started hanging around scene/emo kids at school. I got to see my mom in two strokes and a heart attack before my eyes. My mom always puts me down. Also when I was 15 my mom would beat me with a switch when I do something slightly wrong.
Me:
I love punk rock and death metal. I am a Christian. Last year I didn't care if I died or not, but I didn't and still don't want to kill myself. I still don't hang out with people at school. I stay quiet unless being spoken to, and respond only when needed. I don't drink, smoke, steal, or do drugs.

I've lost my parking space in front of my own home, what can i do?
I rent my home and i owe a car. My husband parks on my driveway, whilst i choose to park on the road. I sometimes park in front of our drop kerb driveway (OUR SIDE OF ROAD), if spaces are limited in the street. But I have started to have problems with the neighbours across the road from me. It all firstly started on a monday morning, where my sons school taxi comes and picks him up. He goes to a special school out of the area, and the school organize transport for him. They parked up in front of my driveway and waited for my son to get in and then drive off. It was only a few seconds. and the lady across the road started to use her horn to make them move and be quick. The trouble is her driveway opposite is not directly in front of ours, and starts from where our pillar ends, if you get what i mean, but because recently she bought a big car (people carrier) she finds it difficult and is under confident to manouvre the vehicle properly. The school transport stopped parking outside my house because she was so abusive and now they park at the end of the street where i have to walk him down come rain or shine. Hes disabilited, so this is an awkward predictument for me. I also was aware she started to be rude to others that parked in front of my driveway for short periods of time. Example, a delivery drop off to the local provident man on his weekly collections. I rang the council about this problem and they said along as it was my front of driveway, im entitled to use the parking space. But she called the police out on me, and they say that even thou its my space, because she has a huge car, she needs that extra room to get out there for im blocking her. I had to move my car or faced being towed. Im so depressed about this situation, as i know too park down the road as theres no room for my car and have to cart my shopping up the hill, Everyone says its my side so, therefor its my right of access but otherwise been told different by the police. I dont know what to do, as ive co-operated with this neighbour in the past and she used the police force against me, the worse bit was the police officer agreed with me, but said due to the nature of her ill driving, i would have to be sympathic and just move. I dont know what to do about this situation, im so fed up. I cant access my driveway without thinking about her stupid people carrier.Pytanie #45:

Does the constitution of the USA make it the most dangerous country on Earth?
1. Freedom of speech/Freedom of religion - In the USA you can say what ever you want and not face prosecution; all that hate can be legally spouted out. You can also follow what ever religion you want; In the UK a Christian man was recently arrested for saying homosexuality is wrong; he was held in detention without trail also a Catholic woman was arrested a few months ago for standing outside an abortion clinic shouting "Stop the bloodshed" she too was held in detention without trail. Also a private Jewish school was sued for refusing to allow access to an atheist student. Also atheism is heavily promoted through public schools, the media and even public transport.2. Right to bear arms; guns are legal in the USA and your crime rate is so high; in the UK guns are banned; only the government and the military have guns.
3. In the USA police need warrants to enter a home even for a serious crime; in the UK police can break down your door and ransack your home if you are suspected of a crime all without warrant; plus if your crime is very serious police can wait till you leave, obtain a copy of your keys and then search your home. Plus so many people in the USA are against CCTV; people in the UK LOVE all the CCTV; England has more CCTV than on Earth. Also police can conduct a stop and search without warrant or suspicion and anyone who objects is arrested.
The UK is so free and they have lower crime; the American constitution needs to be abolished; the USA is so crime ridden and a scary place to live.
